Rossie E. Turman III, partner in Lowenstein’s Debt Financing and Tech groups and head of the firm’s international finance practice, has been named to Savoy Magazine’s list of the 2022 Most Influential Black Lawyers. This comprehensive list features the top partners from leading national law firms and corporate counsel from Fortune 1000 companies.
Turman advises corporations, financial institutions and government entities around the globe on their most complex, high-profile matters. Since joining Lowenstein Sandler in September of 2020, his leadership has expanded the firm’s capacity to service clients engaged in cross-border transactions, while unlocking the potential of underrepresented professionals, business people, and the businesses they manage or own, including in diverse geographies.
For over two decades, he has negotiated and executed complex business transactions and financings, including equity capital raising, debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures, throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and in over 20 African countries. He has comprehensive understanding of how to navigate and conduct business across international borders and execute transactions while building effective teams across language and cultural differences.
Turman is committed to throwing open the doors of opportunity for individuals from underrepresented groups. He actively trains and mentors associates at Lowenstein Sandler and attorneys of color across the legal profession. He also serves on the Boards of the Council of Urban Professionals and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
