President Joseph R. Biden has nominated as the U.S. Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Lowenstein Special Counsel Anne M. Milgram.

The White House’s official announcement can be read here.

Milgram has had a distinguished career as a state, local, and federal prosecutor. She served as the 57th Attorney General of New Jersey, a federal prosecutor in the Criminal Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, and Assistant District Attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She is a Professor of Practice and Distinguished Scholar in Residence at New York University School of Law, where she teaches seminars on criminal prosecution and human trafficking and where she established NYU School of Law’s Criminal Justice Lab.

At Lowenstein, Milgram works with Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (fka, The Tech Group) and the White Collar Defense practice, where she provides counsel on investigations and regulatory matters.

“Anne Milgram’s integrity, insight, and affinity for bringing data to the conversation make her a terrific choice to lead the DEA. Through her groundbreaking work with data, technology, and analytics, Anne has had a significant impact on public safety initiatives, with reliable metrics for improving safety, funding, and accountability,” says Ed Zimmerman, Chair of Lowenstein’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (fka, The Tech Group).
