The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of Advanced Contracting Services (ACS), a Bronx-based contractor of concrete foundation and super-structures, has hired Lowenstein Sandler as legal counsel in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Created as a subsidiary of Navillus Tile, ACS, along with two other non-union construction companies, faces allegations of evading obligations to contribute pension and welfare benefits under collective bargaining agreements. The Lowenstein team is led by Kenneth A. Rosen, Jeffrey Cohen, and Eric Chafetz.
