Lowenstein Sandler has announced that two business professionals with extensive experience in the legal and financial industries have joined the firm’s senior management team. Jared Kaplan has joined the firm as its Chief Innovation & Information Officer (CIIO), and Maureen Naughton will take on the new role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Kaplan and Naughton join Chief Operating Officer Michael R. Caplan, who joined the firm earlier this year. All three new members of the senior management team join the firm as it puts the finishing touches on a new strategic plan that emphasizes investments in its people and the deployment of emerging technologies to enhance the delivery of services to the firm’s clients.
“Because we are committed to continued growth and a consistent upward trajectory, we are always on the lookout for superior talent,” says Caplan. “Lowenstein’s approach to the business of law will include a client service focus around operational excellence—a value proposition that will be a true differentiator.”
Caplan adds: "The collective business acumen of Jared and Maureen, working alongside our other C-suite members, Chief Financial Officer William B. Farrell, Chief Diversity Officer J. Danielle Carr, and Chief Human Resources Officer Donatella Verrico, ensure that Lowenstein’s administrative, financial, technological, and HR capabilities maintain the same high level of excellence as our top notch legal services.”
About Our New Senior Executives
Jared Kaplan
As Chief Innovation & Information Officer, Jared Kaplan will oversee Lowenstein's technology, data security, knowledge management, and legal research strategy and execution, in addition to driving innovation throughout the firm’s practices and offices.
Kaplan is a seasoned technology executive with over 20 years of experience, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the firm's technology capabilities, organization, and innovation. Prior to joining Lowenstein, he served as Chief Technology Officer for Teneo, a global CEO consulting and advisory firm. Earlier in his career, Kaplan held senior technology roles at Accenture and Apollo Global Management.
“Lowenstein’s clients are at the cutting edge of the latest, most innovative technologies,” says Kaplan. “They expect their attorneys to not only understand these groundbreaking tools, but to leverage them for optimal efficiency in the delivery of top tier legal services.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining past colleagues like Mike Caplan, as well as the rest of the firm’s talented leadership, in helping propel Lowenstein to the next level," says Naughton. “I look forward to establishing the firm’s Project Management Office, that will ensure all of the firm’s many programs across all offices and departments stay focused on our strategic initiatives while remaining on time and on budget.”
