Stephen Tanico regularly advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, development, and joint ventures.
Stephen’s practice is national in scope and crosses all asset classes, and includes all types of clients, from real estate investors and developers to tech startups. His multidisciplinary background and keen understanding of M&A, venture capital, private equity, and life sciences enable Stephen to appreciate the perspectives of all participants in a transaction, resulting in efficient, pragmatic, and creative ideas and solutions. A native New Yorker, Stephen takes great pride in his responsiveness, commitment to client success, and enthusiasm for connecting people in his network to achieve his clients’ overall business objectives.
Stephen is a co-host of “Terra Firma: Conversations on Commercial Real Estate,” the firm’s monthly podcast series that covers the latest market outlook and cyclical trends, and provides strategic tips to help manage commercial real estate assets, investments, and developments.
He is also a member of the firm’s multidisciplinary Cannabis practice, where he applies his experience in real estate to the emerging recreational cannabis market. Stephen works closely with his government affairs colleagues to represent landlords, tenants, sellers, and purchasers of sites for cannabis retail or cultivation operations.
Stephen spends as much time as possible skiing off-piste, experiencing new cultures through travel, and refining his cooking skills.
