Sean Campbell represents emerging growth companies across industries throughout their life cycle, from formations, to exits, and everything in between. His daily practice includes seed, equity and debt financings across all stages of growth, representing both startups and investors. He also advises clients on corporate governance and securities matters, and the interplay of those issues with employment and compensation arrangements, commercial agreements, intellectual property items, and industry-specific regulatory considerations.

Moreover, Sean believes that transactional attorneys must be more than transactional. It matters to Sean that clients succeed. To support their achievement, Sean will extend his spirit, creativity and experience to the fullest extent they need or wish. He derives passion and purpose when working closely with founders and executives to drive strategy and growth. Further, as an angel investor himself, Sean is especially sensitive to the business needs and requirements of both founders and funders.

With a presence in both the Tri-State Area (NY, NJ) and the Capital Region (DC, MD, VA), Sean engages industry leaders across markets. He is an avid reader of history, a sought-after speaker at conferences and college campuses, and a ski enthusiast (his frequent spots being Vail and Courchevel). Prior to becoming an attorney, Sean served as Community Services Officer on the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, which oversees public funding for substance abuse prevention; he continues to advocate for trauma-informed care in our communities. A “girl dad” of three young daughters, he loves to share his passions and energy for life with his family and friends.
