Olawale Otegbade ("Wale") counsels clients through all stages of patent prosecution and patent portfolio development. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications in both the U.S. and internationally.
Wale represents a variety of clients from big corporations to small tech startups in a wide range of high-tech sectors, including:

Wale also has represented clients on matters involving privacy and cybersecurity, content sharing and management platforms, virtualizations, network architecture and management, mechanical and electromechanical devices, medical devices, image processing, RF and microwave, and consumer products.
Prior to his legal career, Wale was a quality assurance engineer, evaluating, testing, and validating mission-critical software at Vonage and Traveler’s Insurance. He also served as a systems analyst for Pfizer where he analyzed critical processes for vaccine research and FDA compliance, documented system behaviors and technical specifications, and identified potential improvements to ensure regulatory compliance and system performance.
Wale interned at the Tech Startup Clinic, drafting agreements and conducting trademark searches and externed with medical supply and luxury fashion companies, handling contracts, SEC compliance, and IP protection matters.
Wale is passionate about pro bono work and volunteers with the Tenancy Clinic led by the Lowenstein Center for Public Interest, Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, and Prudential.
