Ali Ismail supports attorneys on a range of matters involving corporate bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and insolvency-related litigation. Recent creditors’ committee cases in which Ali has been involved include Proterra Inc and Vital Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (dba Bang Energy). He is also assisting in the representation of institutional investors in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Genesis Global Holdco, LLC, Zymergen Inc., and Akumin Inc.
He formerly clerked for the Honorable Judge Lisa G. Beckerman of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Prior to his legal career, Ali was an independent filmmaker who produced commercials, short films, and documentary productions.
He is conversant in Arabic.
