Lowenstein Sandler has been named to NJBIZ’s 2019 Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the large-company category (employers of over 250 employees). This is the eighth consecutive year that Lowenstein has earned a place on the list.
The annual Best Places ranking identifies and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey that benefit the state’s economy and workforce.
This honor comes shortly after the firm was named by Crain’s as one of 2018’s Best Places to Work in New York City. Out of 100 organizations listed, Lowenstein was one of only seven law firms.
The rankings of the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey will be unveiled at an awards ceremony on May 1, 2019, at iPlay America's Event Center in Freehold, NJ. A special publication profiling the selected companies will be released by NJBIZ on May 6, 2019.
“We are, as always, proud to be recognized by NJBIZ as one of the best places to work in New Jersey,” said Gary M. Wingens, Lowenstein’s Chair and Managing Partner. “Lowenstein’s core values encompass a commitment to the personal development, support, and mentorship of all those under our roof. It is gratifying to be honored for our ongoing efforts to create a fully inclusive environment where differing perspectives are welcomed, creativity is rewarded, and people’s contributions are valued.”
“Our employee wellness programs, competitive compensation, exciting and challenging work, and diversified benefits all contribute to a collegial environment where employees look forward to coming to work every day and doing their best,” said Lowenstein Chief Human Resources Officer Donatella Verrico. This enhances our firm’s overall retention and enables us to provide better client service.”
The Best Places to Work in New Jersey list comprises 100 companies that are categorized as small, medium or large organizations. To qualify, a company has to have at least 15 permanent employees; be a for-profit, nonprofit, or government entity; be a publicly or privately held business; have a facility in New Jersey; and be in business for a minimum of one year.
The analysis for making the list is based on two surveys: the Employer Questionnaire and the Employee Survey (ES). To be considered for the list, a company must:
- Meet or exceed a minimum 40% response rate from the survey population and
- Receive a minimum 80% average positive response to the ES across the focus areas of leadership and planning, corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationship with supervisor, training, development and resources, pay and benefits, and overall engagement.
Best Places to Work companies are selected based upon participation with the Best Places to Work survey administered by Best Companies Group. The program collects data confidentially, allowing employees to comfortably share feedback about the companies they work for – and for those companies to interpret and act on what they’ve learned.
