Lowenstein Sandler represented Tinuiti, a New Mountain Capital portfolio company, in its acquisition of The Ortega Group.
Tinuiti is the largest independent performance marketing firm across Google, Facebook, and Amazon, with expert knowledge in search, social, Amazon & marketplaces, mobile apps, CRM, and email marketing; over $2 billion in digital media under management; and 700 employees.
The Ortega Group creates growth strategies for Amazon businesses using their extensive knowledge, contacts, and experience with the Amazon platform. The Ortega Group guides brands like Gerber, Grande Cosmetics, Nulo Pet Food, and Panton through the whole process, from setting up Amazon vendor and seller accounts, negotiating vendor contracts directly with Amazon, to setting up and optimizing products content.
The strategic acquisition brings together Tinuiti’s full-funnel Amazon marketing services with Ortega’s over 60 years of combined expertise of insider Amazon HQ tribal knowledge. The combined offering creates the industry’s most robust full-service Amazon and marketplace program.
The Lowenstein deal team included David L. Goret, Andrew P. Erdmann, Sabrina Cua, Jesse S. O’Connell, Michael Walutes, Sophia Mokotoff, Megan Monson, Julie Levinson Werner, Matt Savare, Bryan Sterba, Edgar R. Hidalgo CIPP/US, Kimberly E. Lomot, and Latoya Bethune.
